Buying the right drive means buying the right drive for each stage of this workflow. Using one drive for everything is just asking for disaster.
This drive is your first line of defense. It’s for backing up memory cards in the car between the ceremony and reception, or at the end of the night before you’ve had a glass of water. The priorities here are speed, portability, and ruggedness. This is not the place for a cheap, clunky HDD.
